Dear Brother Riley:

I’m writing to express our concern and support in your current battle with the employer known as the Irving Interest. We in Local 10 and throughout the ILWU know and understand what you are going through. On behalf of my membership I pledge that we will do all in our power and capability to assist you in any way we can.

As a simple matter of principle Local 10 would stand by you every step of the way in the difficulties you are facing. But we are very much aware of the proud, militant history and commitment to solidarity that thrives inside of ILA Local 273, making any stand or action we partake in on your behalf an honour.

Please keep us informed of any developments and do not hesitate to call upon us in your struggle.

On behalf of the members of ILWU Local 10,

In Solidarity,

Richard Mead
President
