Message of Support

 Dear Friends,

We have been informed of the situation in Saint John ,New Brunswick where port employers are preparing to attack the pay and work conditions of our Brother dockworkers of I.L.A. Local 273.

There are attacks on union organised dock labour all over the world and for all of us it is so very important to stand at the side of each other; to be ready to give support whenever needed. The dockworkers of Saint John, New Brunswick and their organisation I.L.A. Local 273 have for a long time been in the forefront of this international solidarity movement and we cannot allow you to be isolated in your fight for good wages and working conditions.

On behalf of the Swedish Dockworkers Union I want to extend to you our solidarity, greetings and our determination to give you any possible support whenever needed.
